125coues Report post Posted April 18, 2015 Took a good friends son out today and after a not so good morning and high afternoon winds at about 4:30 we heard a gobble across the canyon from us .We had no time to set out decoy so I set dad and son up and I pulled back 15 yards and started calling and within 5 min. we had two toms come in and start circling looking for the hen ,when they got to within 30 yards my friends son put the smack down on a really great bird.Nothing better than helping a friend's son get his first bird.
