rthrbhntng Report post Posted April 14, 2015 Beat the heat in one of the most beautiful areas of the state. The Arizona Elk Society Buck Spring Volunteer Wildlife Habitat Work Project is set for May 16-17. This is one of the largest, best attended projects on or calendar. The camp will be the same as last year, Dane Springs, roughly 10 miles east of Clints Well and 11 miles south of HWY 87 on FR95. Come out and help Restore Riparian Meadows and Creeks, remove pine trees from riparian meadows to increase watershed, remove old barbed wire fences, maintain enclosures for threatened willows, aspen and maple trees and much more. We will have 2 Boy Scouts working on their Eagle scout Projects building log fences for protection of wildlife meadows. As always all meals from Fri dinner to Sun lunch will be provided. We will have our famous New York Strip Steak dinner on Sat. Please visit the www.arizonaelksociety.org for more information and to RSVP, we need to get a count for the food.
