TwoGuns Report post Posted April 29, 2007 105coues, my cousin that works for AZGFD spends a lot of time trapping elk and deer for the department and he said they use sweetfeed. It is some sort of livestock feed that has mollasses in it. My dad and I have used it a few times with our trail cameras and it has worked real well, they love it. Jeff, my cousin, actually caught a coues buck in his trap last year, and had the antlers fall off right in the cage, a real nice set too.
bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted May 10, 2007 I hate to pop yer bubble, but G&F is looking into making it illegal to use feeders for wildlife. My suggestion is, if you want more info, PM somebody so it is not seen by the public or put it in a forum for texas residents. They use feeders regularly and know what works best. By posting it here, it is just giving them more ammunition, and hurting the ones that hunt using that method.
