joelpresmyk8 Report post Posted March 30, 2015 I have had this timney trigger in my rifle for a while now and love it!! I don't have a tool to measure what the pull weight is on the trigger and I wanted to lighten it just a hair but an nervous about going to far. So I guess I'm wondering if there is a way to know when to stop as to not over do it?
lancetkenyon Report post Posted March 31, 2015 I do the "hang a cup (or milk jug) on a string and tie it to the trigger. Then fill with water to a certain amount". 1 cup, or 8 fluid ounces, weighs .521 pounds. So 2 cups of water in the solo cup weighs just over 1 pound. Want more pull weight? Use a milk jug and fill until the trigger goes "click", then measure the water volume in a measuring cup. 2 cups of water is 16 ounces, or 1.04#, 3 cups is 24 fl. oz., or just over 1.56#, 4 cups is 32 fl. oz., or 2.08#, etc. Don't forget the weight of the milk jug or cup though.
