The ambulance chasing lawyer has convinced the family that they can receive a monetary settlement from Wal-Mart, IMO.

Any suit filed against the store which sold the mind-altering chemical depressant (alcohol) to the supposedly depressed, unstable, mentally incompetent criminal? Instant background checks to purchase alcohol?

I have tried to stop buying any sporting goods from wal-mart since they already caved and stopped selling guns at so many of there stores.

Hasn't there already been a precedence set on this issue? I wish that these lawyers would have to cover the defendants legal costs, maybe that would make them think before they filed suites against everyone they think that they might get to settle.

no amount of policy or rules will make stuff like this stop happening. too many whackjobs out there and just as many LAWYAHS looking to score themselves at someone like Walmart's expense.

Lawyahs Suck, Whackjobs Suck. This is a sad story but walmart would have probably been sued if they refused to sell the shells too.

Damned if you do or if you don't.

Baout anything CAN be used as a "weapon" if someone wants to.

Heck I just read about Hugh Grant being charged with assault for using BAKED BEANS on someone.

There's another one that will be called "Bush's" Fault :P LOL

Here is the link to the story if you doubt it. Yeah, I know it was across the pond but the point is the same.
