Don't be afraid to ask for help

Recommended Posts

I had a friend commit suicide yesterday. He was a marine with a few tours under his belt and suffering from PTSD. A bunch of us gathered tonight wondering what the heck we coulda done. All I can really say is watch out for your friends and pay attention to warning signs. And if you're in a bad position, don't be afraid to ask for help. There are a lot of people around that would give the shirt off thier back to help you. I don't want any other forum members to go through what we're dealing with tonight.

I did a day trip to mexico, drove way too fast, ate street tacos, and tried to catch some fish in memory of him today. It's what he would have wanted and he'll sure as heck be missed.

RIP CPL Adam Ford

Very sad, so sorry.......We always look back on these things and think "If I had only known, I could have helped." you are so right, don't keep these things bottled up. As a high school counselor, I see it all the time - more than most people know. Last week, at one of our feeder schools, we just had a 6th grader hang himself. Talk about a tragedy.

This reminded me of a very good friend we had here a few years back, some of you remember him very well and I asked my self the same questions you are. He still here in our hearts and your friend will live in yours for ever. Sorry for you loss, prayers to his family.

I'm sorry to hear this. My family extended has been going through the same thing this past week. When you see how many people loved him, it's hard to wonder why it goes down this path. Depression and anxiety is a tough thing to deal with at times.
