I agree with just about everything said. Only one was left out.the way you feel after packing an animal out a long ways. Not only the accomplishment but how light you feel. i always feel like i have a 5 ft. vertical jump when i set my pack down.

For me the best part of hunting for coues is getting set up before sunrise and counting the minutes before glassing light. the antisipation that this might be the day mr. big buck shows himself is a great feeling.

 

And for elk, I think the best part of my hunt is getting out of bed at 4 a.m and taking a swig of peppermint shnapps while the bulls are playing a tune for me. All you guys know what im talking about. its the best feeling in the world.

My wife says that Gamehauler has made a CWT addict out of me. I ask her what her favorite part of hunting was and she started laughing. She came back with just the opposite. She said " I don't like getting up early / I don't want to walk more than 200yds / Quit telling me to just pull the !@#$% trigger / I don't make noise you do / I don't like you trying to video my turkeys and scareing them away / Why do I have to gut it / Get your own beer /" I don't think I had anything to do with any of that but she still likes pulling the trigger and braggin about the shot.

My favorite part about hunting is that I never have to pack anything out, or get my hands all bloody......

Muskrat you sound like my dad! all he has to do is put the Accubond load I made into the rifle I clean, I site in, I make sure is on then pose for pictures! the rest is on me lol!

My favorite part is in the morning right before you can see really well then my mind starts making shapes into animals and not knowing what you will see in 10 minutes. Staring your eyes to make out what you are looking at. Hearing the noises close by and letting my mind go crazy with anticipation. Sounds corny but thats it for me. Then when you find an animal makes it all that much more rewarding.

John! i totally agree! no matter what i am hunting, from dove, quail, on up to elk anything that looks like an animal my mind makes into an animal! very good point!
