Recommended Posts

I have a scale tattooed on the side of my index finger that lets me get within +/- 2yds. You guys should try it...

As others have said, 10 yards at a time. 3D courses are the best for building this confidence in the field.... Absolutely priceless..

I saw in the paper advertisement for the 3D shoot at Sunrise around the 4th of July. I went to that as a spectator probably 25 years ago, is that a low key event or do you have to be lights out good to enjoy it?

Seemed like way back then there were several divisions etc. which allowed all skill levels to have a good time.

Anybody been to that one recently?

I was talking to a guy here in town recently about this shoot in Sunrise on 4th of July weekend. He was telling me how great of time it is out there. He told me its a big event that gets shooters coming from all over. I don't shoot 3D (not yet! :)) and sounded like a great time!

I've practiced it enough to know that I really need to use may rangefinder if it is at all a possibility. I've watched to many pros on the Sportsman's channel that are a lot better than I who have misjudged the distances and shot over an animal.
