rcdinaz Report post Posted March 8, 2015 Good looking set-ups! Add a steel media tumbler and get rid of the vibratory cleaner. You can buy the tumbler at Harbor Freight with a coupon for a steal. Cleanest brass ever down to the primer pockets.
sherman Report post Posted March 12, 2015 Is the steel tumbler really that much better? And couldn't I use the same tumbler or is it a completely new set up
rcdinaz Report post Posted March 12, 2015 It really is that much better. It is sealed so the water and cleaning agent can't leak out. It is basically a rock polishing tumbler. Buy this one, find a 20% or 25% off coupon and it is a steal. Comparable ones are $150 http://www.harborfreight.com/dual-drum-rotary-rock-tumbler-67632.html The media isn't cheap but you only buy it once, this one comes with the detergent: http://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel-Tumbling-Media-Pins/dp/B00IER1VCM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1426191426&sr=8-3&keywords=stainless+steel+media For $75 or less you will never buy walnut or corn media again and have supremely clean brass inside and out. When you run out of cleaning agent buy Lemi-shine and the bottle should last you forever since you don't need much to clean the brass.
