Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted April 15, 2007 Hey, anyone on here ever hunted the late (Nov.) archery bull hunt for 22 South?? I know of some guys that drew that hunt accidentally (or on purpose ), and they could use some info as far as that time of year. I know that this is a tuff hunt, so I am sure they would appreciate any help. Thanks. CnS

WOODSAZ Report post Posted April 16, 2007 My wifes grandfather had that hunt a couple years ago and yes its a tought hunt. He is in his seventies so that made it a little more difficult for him. Any ways, alot of those elk would hit the golf course in town and had areas that they moved through on and off the GC. Tree stand hunting was too tough for him so we sat fence crossings in the area and got close but never sealed the deal. It isnt the highest qaulity hunt but doable. Lance Report post Posted April 17, 2007 Fly it! The bulls are starting to bunch up in the back canyons that time of year and don't moove much. There are some watter wholes that are way back and away from the roads in 22 south also. I have never done the archery hunt there but have packed a pot load of bulls out of the wilderness areas in that unit on the late rifle hunts.

I figure they are going to need all the help they can get in that hunt..... so here is a great time & place to start. Welcome, tjhunts2. Thank you for the warm welcome. Gamehauler turned me on to this site. He must have told you about my application mistake. I was disappointed for the guys on my application, since it was my fault, but also was greatfull with the 22S archery bull tag since so many others never drew. I've never hunted it before and know I have my home work cut out for me. Thanks for asking for some info on my behalf. I greatly appreciate that. I was so surprised that someone would do that for another hunter especially one you've never met. While I'm at it I would like to commend you on the article you wrote on your friend Jason. That was a very nice thing to do. tjhunt2!

Since I'm fresh off rotator-cup surgery, I will have lots of time to improve on my computer skills being I will be off work for at least another 3 months. The doctor feels it will be a maybe on pulling my bow by Nov. I will use my feet if I have to. Thanks for your continueos support as always. Good luck on your 22n bull tag. tjhunt2!
