AZBearhunter Report post Posted February 24, 2015 Cool pics from 2013, look closely you will see a Mojave Rattlesnake drinking water before the lion approaches. Summer is hot, apparently snakes get thirsty too. The bears know how to stay cool. The last pic is of an opossum. Unfortunately my camera was stolen off this spring sometime during July of 2013, I never hug another at this location.

Edge Report post Posted February 24, 2015 Those are great pics and yes, thieves are scumbags, I[ve come to find out we have some on this site; more on that later. But possoms in AZ? I've never seen one, journal of mammalogy says one was found injured near Tucson in 1950, but speculate it may have fallen from an out of state produce truck. We actually don't have Possums in Arizona, we do however, have Opossums. Don't ask me the difference because I don't know.
crotalus Report post Posted February 25, 2015 Really nice pix. The rattlesnake is a black-tailed rattlesnake not Mojave. Only one place I know of where you have oppossums that ugly and black-tails that beautiful, thanks for sharing. Don't understand why people can't respect property that is not yours...
