CouesWhitetail Report post Posted June 4, 2007 Hey Lance and other CW.com'ers, Looks like I won't be able to make it up there this weekend. My work schedule changed so I have to go band some owls this weekend. It's too bad that I have to miss the picnic. But take lots of photos and have a great time! Lance Report post Posted June 5, 2007 Hey Amanda! Sorry you can't be there. I got the stuff you sent me! Looks great, with a total of 32 things to give away! If no one shows up then do I get to keep it all? Here is the deal guys.... What you say we sell rafle tickets for a $1., and then donate the money to the upkeep of this site? If you have some sort of something to donate to the raffle then bring it. and bring a little cash. If you have nothing to donate then of course that is just fine. We would just love to have everyone show up! We could do the raffle right after breakfast on saturday morning. You have to come to be able to buy a ticket, but you don't have to be there for the drawing for thoes who are only comming for a little while. All good? azhuntnut Report post Posted June 6, 2007 What would you think about doing the raffle around noon? I am doing some scouting in the general area Saturday morning, and then was going to head over to the get together. I love raffles and would like to be a part of the fun. Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 6, 2007 Campfire restrictions for entire Coconino National Forest 06/05/07 Officials with the U.S. Forest Service have announced campfire and smoking restrictions will begin Friday at 8 a.m. Fires, campfires, wood-stove and charcoal fires will be allowed only in developed campgrounds and picnic areas, according to a press release from officials with the Coconino National Forest. Use of petroleum-fuel stoves, lanterns and heating devices meeting safety specifications will also be allowed. Smoking will be permitted within an enclosed vehicle or building in a developed recreation area. Fireworks are forbidden on all National Forest land. Fire danger in the forest has increased to very high, and the restrictions will remain in place until officials determine that conditions have changed to reduce the risk of human-caused fires. Violations of the restrictions is punishable by fines up to $5,000 and up to six months in jail. For more information, call 928-527-3600, or visit www.coconinoforest.us. CouesWhitetail Report post Posted June 6, 2007 I am real sorry I can't be there! My husband and I were looking forward to it. I figured if you had enough people show up you could some kind of archery contests or fishing contest or whatever else and those books/DVDs/stickers I sent you would come in handy. Of course the raffle idea is a good one since donations are always appreciated! Hope you all have fun. Amanda
