Problem with neighbor's dog

Recommended Posts

If the home owner does not comply quickly then you could probably track down his landlord and talk to them since the majority of the rental companies do not accept certain breeds on their properties due to liability issues.

OP: Why haven't you offered to go over with a shovel and level the neighbors yard out yourself? Sure, you "shouldn't have to" do this, but it is by far the most amicable solution I can envision. I have kids in my back yard and the second time I see a pit stick his head over the wall he's going to have a .40 caliber headache an instant later.

Sorry to offend anyone with pit bulls but those in my opinions are trash dogs that in most cases are very aggressive and are widely known for bitting people, and severe attacks. I don't know why so many people have them and gangs idolize them as a symbol of power. Hope things get figured out with the wall situation. If that was my back yard with my own kids playing, put it this way most people really like me, but my neighbor and I will be having yelling matches at his door step if he didn't take down the hill the first day. ( (that's with real children though) with my dogs I would wait and see what he does and like stated above get it on video.

Because they want attention. Same jackwagons who will open carry an Ak-47 in a children's park as a political statement and then jump up and down in their basement when open carry of long guns gets prohibited.

Toss a hotdog socked in antifreeze over the wall and let him eat it. I have no use for a dog that bites maybe because I have been on the receiving end of it

I would first offer to level the yard for the neighbor. if this didn't work I would consider this option. probably less likely to wind you up in court than a gunshot in a neighborhood.

Just stay on the renters. Tell him if it doesnt get fixed you r going to have to go the next level with the authorities. That dog can jump that fence in a heart beat

The exact same thing happened to my good buddy when he wasnt home. A pitbull jumped his backyard brickwall with out a little hill. Straight from the ground. The dog the looked for his two dogs. A black lab and a small terrier. The pitbull found the doggy door and the fight was on. Killed the terrier and the lab and him fought in every room. The house had blood in every room from ceiling to floor. It was horrible. When he walked in the lab and pitbull were barely breathing on the floor and the whole house was ruined. He took video of this whole thing when he got home.

All the neighbor said was sorry. Even taking them to court to pay for damages they were not liable for anything.

Stay on this issue

Not all pit bulls are bad, but the majority of their owners have no business owning a dog that requires proper training and that needs to be spayed or castrated to keep their hormones down.

We have 4 of them ranging from 3-5 years old that we have worked with and properly trained since they were puppies. They all have been spayed. Chipped and have had all their shots etc. We taken them to the dog parks to socialize with other dog's and different people. Never had a issue. They love kids and anyone who comes to the house. The first time one of them shows aggression towards a person that will be their last time.

If you did your research you'd see that there is way more reports of dog bites from labs, cockers, German shepards and dalmations than pits.

They are actually very intelligennt dogs who want nothing more than to please their owner.unfortunately they get in the hands of the wrong owners and that's the biggest reason they have a bad rep.

I've met very few owner with pits like you. Good for you on having properly trained dogs. I don't know why but it seems like 90 % of home owner with pits are like this guys dog backyard problem :(

A few years ago I was helping a guy do a side job replacing a bunch of windows in a house. I was outside working on one, and out of the corner of my eye I saw a pitbull standing 10 feet away looking at me. It's head was covered in blood, and it had bloody drool coming out of it's mouth. It was one of those "Oh crap" moments. All I had was a hammer to defend myself.I was wondering if I should run, or smash that dog like the Hammer of Thor. Apparently a home was broken into earlier that morning and the dog jumped through the broken window and cut it's head. The dog was friendly, and the homeowner knew who it belonged too.

IF I had a pitbull, I would at least hope that it would eat any intruder that broke in to my house.

I keep it simple. If my dog doesn't like you, i dont like you. I have been around and raised pitbulls my whole life. It just so happens that pitbulls are strong animals that usually win when they are attacked. . They are a very popular breed among getto community's I know. But you cant put them all in a group. Ignorance. I will give you some advice. Most renters insurance will not insure a house that has pitbulls. If the house is being rented by a property management company they probably dont allow pitbulls either. There is a law against barking dogs and people do/ have gone to jail for repeated violations of this offense. Hope this helps.

Did any of you Phoenix residents see the news on the guy that shot his neighbors dogs, he then shot the neighbors, and then shot himself. Pretty freaky stuff.

Get a 4'x4' sheet of plywood, drive about 100 60d nails through it. Place the plywood nails up at the jump location and let him jump.

ouch

Pits are great dogs--until they're not.

If I leave a fully loaded Ak-47 on my countertop it won't in a million years start destroying stuff without an idiots intervention. To assume that a pit bull or any other dog is capable of the same discipline is incredibly myopic and foolish.

Thanks, I think its because the majority of their owners are minorities and trailer trash.

the mascot of the ghetto.

longshooter, youre hardcore. you don't even live in a trailer.

edit: wtf at comparing a gun to a dog. a dog can go off and bite who ever it wants on its own. a gun cant shoot its self.

I had a problem recently, after my son bought goats. I had a 65 chevy p/u parked by the block wall. The goats got on the truck and jumped into the neighbors yard it happened one time . I moved the truck. Call him on it and everyone else you can call. Oh well with future relations , I wouldnt give it another thought.
