Couestracker Report post Posted February 12, 2015 Thinking about getting one of these .357 magnum semi-auto 1911's. Anyone familiar/know about them? Thanks in advance! Tommy
Hoss50 Report post Posted February 12, 2015 I would get one in 10mm, 38 super, or 9x23 first. All are similar or more potent then 357 mag and are already somewhat common 1911 builds. I bought my 38 super 1911 with the intent to modify it to shoot 9x23, but 38 super is pretty potent in its own right so I have left it alone. It's a great and isn't to far behind 357 on ballistics. muledeerarea33? Report post Posted February 13, 2015 The coonan was designed 35 or so years ago and tested. Shot one a few months ago and loved it! I believe it's about a year wait to get one,, or was? For the price and size I'd prefer something more common as hoss50 said. A blast to shoot though! Couestracker Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Thanks guys! They also shoot .38 spl and there's a bunch for sale on Gun Broker.com. I saw that Glockmiester on Bell is a dealer, need to go and look/handle one.
