lancetkenyon Report post Posted January 28, 2015 Any reason for a MagnaPort over a thread on muzzle brake? I don't like to cut into the barrel/rifling myself.

pwrguy Report post Posted January 28, 2015 Dennis, I'm with Lance. Why magnaport? Get the barrel threaded and then put on a break, if you don't like it put on another.
lancetkenyon Report post Posted January 28, 2015 For the .300RUM, you can get sooo much more recoil reduction by going with several different brakes. But to answer your question, I do not know anyone who does Magnaporting. It is not very popular anymore.

Whitesheep Report post Posted February 7, 2015 Here is a link to Man-na-port's web site. You would have to send your rifle in, but this is the original deal. They also have thread on brake. I have not tried either and don't like side firing brakes or ports on hunting firearms because they are so LOUD. For a defensive handgun, especially a revolver, I would consider them. http://www.magnaport.com/
