Woods Canyon or Willow Springs lakes

anyone ice fished those lakes before?

I iced fished willow springs. Did everything I could and couldn't catch a single fish. I did manage to fall through the ice though but that's a different story

From the report I see that the 300 road is closed for the winter. How do they decide when to close and when to re-open the 300 road? Is it calendar based or snow based? Anyone know?

We were planning a late March fishing trip to Knoll lake and are not sure if the road will be open.

It usually does not open until late April or sometimes later depending on how much snow is up there. I usually start calling the USFS Office in Heber around then.

try becker lake-its been incredible the last 12-15 months with huge catch and release fish....

We may give it a try. We usually catch an release anyway. Just want to get lines wet before fire restrictions and crowds!

Not sure I understand the 300 road closure with as little snow as we've had????
