Expensive optics - anyone have buyers regret???

Recommended Posts

I can't justify it for something I only use a few days a year. I'll just stick with my el freebo's and make due.

You don't get out enough....

I know.

never. except i got some leica trinovids that are having focusing issues and im about to send them in. but i still love them and theyre worth it. im broke as heck but wouldnt even consider buying anything other than top shelp optics. lots of people like vortex, i think they suck

I had the same problem with my 10 year old Trinovids. Sent them in and they fixed them for free. I got a lot of use out of them over the last 10 years....now they're good for another 10 years. That's a big consideration. Buying top of the line glass is like an insurance policy included in the price.

I used to think I spotted a lot of game through my Pentax 12x50's, until I got my Leica 12x50's. Holy cow! What a difference. Now I just love to sit behind them for hours....and see a lot more game.

The only regret is wondering why I waited so long. I lost more money thinking these are just as good or there is not big difference slowly upgrading and buying and selling. Save up and buy the high end bino that fits your hunting style and you will see more and have no regrets.
