Havasuhunter Report post Posted January 15, 2015 Well, only got two days in because of work. Hoping to get out Fri and Sat, will be my last chance to get an archery Javelina this year.  I'm looking for general info on 18B if anyone has some. By "general" I mean exact GPS coordinates of all your hotspots and specific herd locations!😉  Good luck all of you still holding a tag. Javelina country in Jan is hard to beat all by itself, seeing some would be a nice bonus.
goinhuntn Report post Posted January 15, 2015 Havasuhunter you might want to check out 17b as well. Take hwy 93 to the 97 Bagdad turnoff then right on 96 toward Hillside. There are few areas before Hillside to get off the road. We have hunted 17b several times & usually do pretty good. If you have a quad or side by side you can get way back in along sycamore river & glass the basins & you should be able to find javelina. The area has been hit by coyotes & lions, but there are still good pockets with javis. Good luck hope you get one. I will be heading to my dads in Havasu to pick my javi sausage up I had Casey's in flag make jalepeno cheddar sausage.

Havasuhunter Report post Posted January 15, 2015 Jim, I would do that but I have the 16a HAM hunt for my second tag already. Next year? I'd really enjoy having someone to go with. Most people o hunt eith are from out of state or fish Bass tourneyments so much they never hunt.
jim Report post Posted January 15, 2015 Thats cool I understand the fishing thing. I will be on Havasu on sat. I know there are alot of pigs along the big sandy we have hunted them on the 18a side. You can walk the river and look for fresh pig track crossing the river and follow into the brush or call the thickets with alot of track.

Right now I have a 22 archery, 16A HAM, and a 16A Rifle in my wallet. If the lady at the desk challenges you, have her call Phoenix and they will straighten her out. I woke up really sick this morning, so I'm hoping I can go at all. Unless I'm really feeling bad, going to try to get out for at least a little while.
