Does "shooter" need service?

Hey guys had a quick question for anyone that uses the shooter ballistics on your iphone. Do you need service for the app to pull up the weather info? Or can you be with no service and it still works? Thank you for taking the time to read this

Yes to pull from the weather station you do if iam hunting in an area that diesnt have service when i start getting close and i still have service i update it real quick so its at least close

Or you can use another device such as Kestrel or Leica 1600B LRF to get temperature and barometric pressure and manually input them.

Yep, like DB said, I use a Kestrel weather station, that way you have accurate conditions where you are at and at that time. You can even get one that connects to your phone via Bluetooth and you don't even need to manually enter it

Just update it when you can, unless your shooting past 500 your good with just ball park averages.... Í love the shooter app
