111 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I got my tag Monday (yesterday) and they swiped my card today. They were having trouble getting my card to go through and gave me a warning on my answer machine today that if I didn't give them a new card number then my dream hunt would be off to somebody else. I put in for elk and a few others in May with my card I've always used. The credit card company switch occurred at the end of May. Since I put in for turkey and a few others in early June with the new credit card numbers, I had a new card for those animals and my turkey tag went through but not my elk tag. Called once I found out they switched my credit card numbers in early June and let the Arizona Game and Fish know, and they said they'll just go to my next card from when I put in for the other animals in early June and everything would be fine. Well since I recieved my elk and turkey tag yesterday I figured everything was fixed from when I called them. I guess not after the call today. Finally I made them verify that it went through over the phone and they said it worked. I could tell they remembered I called in June about what the credit card company had done. I guess the Game and Fish had just forgot to go to the next card. Never had this happen before, but if any of you ever see your credit card company switch your numbers saying you will be recieving a new card and you already put in for some animals you better be ready to get it straightened out with the Arizona Game and Fish. I'm glad for the internet option, as I forgot & waited till the last day when a friend reminded me so after work so I went online and applied when the nearest PO is 15mi away and was closed. AZKendog Report post Posted August 4, 2004 As of Tuesday, I still haven't received my elk/deer tags in the mail. I also haven't received any e-mail notifications from game and fish that I was or wasn't drawn. My credit card received the funds request on the 29th, and it actually posted yesterday. Arizona Griz Report post Posted August 5, 2004 111, same thing happened to me this year. I put in with one card, the card a month later got confiscated by a bank machine because I couldn't retrieve it fast enough. So I got a new card with a new account number and when the G&F went to process the fee, the original account was gone. They gave me a call yesterday and I gave them the number of the new card. 111 Report post Posted August 6, 2004 Arizona Griz, I had my tags to when they called and I was wondering how they were going to get them from me.
