Havasuhunter Report post Posted January 5, 2015 If I took my boots off, every critter for a 1/4 mile down wind would smell my socks! I've never removed shoes. Afraid I might have to move fast.
TOBY Report post Posted January 5, 2015 My wifes 1st Archery javelina did a complete 180 at 35 yards. Still hit gut and followed up with another arrow to finish it off. Got it all on film.

I've seen that happen too. A pig did a complete turn around at the sound of the release on a 40 yard shot. Instead of a lung shot going through the right side, the shot went through the left side. Luckily, it was still a fatal hit. So, not only "yes," but "heck yes" a javelina can jump the string.
AZHEETER Report post Posted January 5, 2015 all replies to this post are spot on. and another thing to remember is if you spook a herd with noise and they dont smell you, more times than not a pig will come back to check out the noise. sometimes even closer then they were. so keep in mind if you miss stay put and quiet for a few minuts and one might come right back to you.
