Big Browns Report post Posted December 30, 2014 Thought some of you might like this new product. I really don't like shooting sticks, but this product might change my mind. I will have to try it to see if I like it. Prone is always my prefered option, but it's not always possible. The article below was from the attached site. http://www.longrangehunting.com/email/lt.php?c=782&m=747&nl=2&s=e377b52bb10d87885093f517ed9f47f4&lid=11205&l=-http--www.longrangehunting.com/store/quad-sticks.html Adam number of ways. It provides an amazing sense of solidness, if that's a word. There is zero left to right wiggle. And you only have to control vertical. A downhill lie works best...with your feet below your butt. Among other advantages, that allows you to rest your shooting arm elbow on a knee. The rifle is supported from both front and rear. With more practice from a good ground setup I expect to routinely be able to place shots into 3/4 moa out to 700 yards in no-wind conditions. Here is a picture of a 3/4 MOA 3 shot group at 455 yards from a sitting position. -- Len Backus --

DesertBull Report post Posted December 30, 2014 Looks like you could make one of those out of a folding camp chair.
azsugarbear Report post Posted January 2, 2015 Couldn't find much info on dimensions, collapsible(?) and weight. Any idea who makes them and warranty?
rcdinaz Report post Posted January 2, 2015 I googled quad sticks and there seem to be a lot of designs and guys making them in Europe. Looks simple enough for a weekend project. Might be a great item to have with young hunters who have trouble holding up or balancing a heavy rifle. http://www.coriniumrange.com/venison/ A YouTube on making your own. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8L2Kgmvs_PY Entertaining to watch him try to cut off a finger with a hack saw! Zeke-BE Report post Posted January 4, 2015 Looks goofy. But I don't need those. I shoot from the hip and get a 1 MOA at 350 yards
ThomC Report post Posted January 4, 2015 A much easier way is to get the same sticks and use 4-5 castration bands at the pivot point. Farm supply stores have a bag of 100 castration bands for a couple bucks. Lots of other uses for the strong bands.
ready2hunt Report post Posted January 4, 2015 They are a neat set up, I made one about a year ago. +1 to the castration bands. The rest was just a couple of screws and 2 wood sticks from Home Depot cut in half to make 4. The concept is good and they work great but just too much set up time for me. For the time it took to take the shot I would just buy a professional set up or use a bi pod
