backcountry_brad Report post Posted December 25, 2014 My friend and i want to do the same late archery elk hunt next year and are wondering if we should put in together on a group app but are skeptical because we've heard it reduces draw odds. we are planning on putting in for a hunt with 75% draw odds for 1st choice. I have a bonus point and he has none. Do you think we should put in seperate or together?
5guyshunting Report post Posted December 25, 2014 The point is divided so that would be .5 rounded to 1. I dont think it matters.
Hoss50 Report post Posted December 25, 2014 Put in together, if he really is someone you can be around. Your point won't be cancelled by his lack of point as stated above.
Sneaker Report post Posted December 25, 2014 If you put in separate, the chance that at least ONE of you getting drawn is much greater. But if you both want a tag, put in together.
PRDATR Report post Posted December 26, 2014 Have him take the Hunter Ed Safety Course and he will get a permanent Bonus Point, but as others have suggested go ahead and put in together.
