Nice set of pigs. I don't know why but they liked young to me. Not like babies of juvenile but more of young adults. Still good eatings

Nothing looked HUGE to me either, but 2 mature pigs. The one that wandered off screen, and the one in the back would be the two I would try for. The two front pigs looked younger, but still adults. Old boars have longer snouts, and you can sometimes see the cutters on them.

 

The pigs my daughter and I took this year were both old boars out of two different herds (out of three herds we scouted) on the same hillside. One had almost no teeth left, so was getting up there in years. You can definitely tell a size difference between an old boar and a young adult when they are together.

look like your standard 35-45 lb adult hogs to me. the difference in a nice pig, and a really big one is only about 15-20lbs though.

I have two herds located in Unit 32 and just need to find one more herd before HAM season.

If anyone in Tucson loves JAVELINA meat let me know. I like hunting them but don't prefer

eating them.

If you lived closer I would take you up on that offer. Being that I might not get out and hunt this year I would be all over your offer. Watch over the herd for a short time and try not to shoot a momma with babies. Just something I do. Good luck on your hunt.
