MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted December 23, 2014 Number one for me is solitude. I don't care about deer as much as seeing no people. Second to that is scouting, right now I am hunting deer where I have a pig tag so I look for my pig herds and take my bow along. Being new to this I have very few "spots" so I am always probing new country. Since starting to hunt recently I have seen more of this state than I did the previous 35 years. khmer6 Report post Posted December 24, 2014 whatever your scouting produces is spot on. different time of the year might take you to different places. in august you may avoid units like 20b unless you are a camel and can handle the 100+ degree weather, but sitting a tank might be productive. different unit also rut at various times as well Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
