Hunting/Fishing License as a Christmas Gift

I'm going on my fourth year of buying my 22-year-old son his annual hunting/fishing license as a Christmas gift. I personally cannot think of a better gift for someone who enjoys hunting and fishing.

 

Sure makes me feel good knowing I provided this for him and of course he likes it because he doesn't have to pay for a license and gets to hunt & fish for the year.

I do it for my dad every year. I got mine from him for Christmas growing up now I just return the favor.

I really wanted to post this before now but there's still time. my son is just starting his life and funds are tight.

 

Anything to help keep the older "kids" hunting and fishing.

 

PS Walmart in Gilbert told me they were not allowed to sell the 2015 license til Jan 1st so I got him gift cards and he can buy it. The associate didn't understand why and I didn't feel like going to G&F.

The WalMart employee didn't know what he was talking about. Go back and try a different person. Or, just buy it online and print it out for him.

I have several buddies along with me who buy dads every year. Its great to give back to those who got us here. Still buying the kids too. Big bill for all of us but its worth it.

Buy it online. Rules changed this year and now are good for 365 days not calendar months.

I will buy my family's licenses on Dec. 31st. Wife, two daughters, my brother, and myself. I would buy my Dad's but he doesn't hunt anymore. Bums me out. I had a LOT of great times hunting with him.
