codyhuntsaz Report post Posted December 10, 2014 Has anyone used these in their Garmin rinos? Thinking about getting one for my dad for Christmas. They sell them at Sportsmans Warehouse and they seem to be pretty popular. Let me know the pros and cons if you've used them. Thanks guys!
AmericanThunder Report post Posted December 10, 2014 I have the chip for my 655t. It is definitely worth the purchase. The only con I can think of is some smaller trails and roads are not shown, although I still need to update my chip. There are a lot of areas I have used my GPS to find ways around private land. cohofishing Report post Posted December 10, 2014 Bought the four western state chip. Worked great for me. Used it in Colorado and everything was spot on. Like that you can use it in your computer also with the base camp program. Nice to be able to see the map on a 21 inch screen
Elitegt500 Report post Posted December 10, 2014 Does everything that the garmin topo chip does and more. Only down falls I've found would be it not as fast to load, you can't do turn by turn with it. Love having the unit boundaries and property maps. Always nice to know your allowed to be where your hunting. Rino radios suck though! Ill pick people up miles away but can't get someone on the opposite side of a canyon from me.
