cmc Report post Posted March 27, 2007 tell me you've seen a 300lb sow in 34A... I want to see that one. It doesn't matter what I did you all need to call the 1-800 bear number listed in the G&F regs to see if your unit is closed before you go hunting. Good luck to all. Don't let 1% odds mean a thing to you. Don't give up!!!! Luck happens to anyone. Even me. cmc
dave Report post Posted March 28, 2007 "no harvest objectives have been met". Nothing like stirring your coffie with a swizzle stick. Congrats Chris!!!
azpackhorse Report post Posted March 28, 2007 Figured it wernt a sow with a nogg'n that big. Know the number for harvest info, been call'n it. I found a "hot spot" with lots of sign, gonna trade my .300 win mag for my 30-30 today cuz it's really thick with lots of green grass in there (great spot for bowhunting Dave). I did find a bear but he'd been dead for a few months, I will get the pics off my camera and try to post them. That is a good look'n bear, good job.

cmc Report post Posted March 28, 2007 after 14 years of hunting in 34A exclusively I'm moving on to somewhere else for the same reasons. But oh well comes with the territory. I'm ok with it in some ways. Gets me to see new country and test my abilities as a hunter.
COUESAZ Report post Posted March 29, 2007 CMC i saw your hunt story over on AZSJ gret hunt and great photos. That is some good looking country for sure. Big congrats to ya. There was an old bear up on top of the wet stones a few years back that was ruining the water tank floats. he was A monster. His crab was huge. I remember thinking this has to be the biggest bear in AZ from looking at his Crap.
