azcouesandelk Report post Posted July 29, 2004 Just wondering how many people have tags for this hunt. Also if anybody know where there is a good population of whitetail and would like to share that would be great. I know of one place in the unit where I would like to go. Arizona Griz Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Younghunter, I am sure you already know that there are deer on that mountain from one end to the other. No one spot is really any better than the other, the problem is will you find to many other hunters where you actually hunt.
coues addict Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Younghunter I don`t know if you are going to do any scouting. But I would not overlook the extreme north end of the Barbquivari`s . You can go in through the Joe King Ranch. Also I would scout the Coyote`s. P.S. don`t forget to take a Lion tag. Good luck Coues Addict
azcouesandelk Report post Posted July 30, 2004 I am fimiliar with the unit since I have hunted javelina in that area for 3 years. I have only hunted the hills once though and I saw the whitetail then. Other then that I have only seen muley's on the flats.

azcouesandelk Report post Posted July 30, 2004 I have been hearing alot about lions in 36c, but I have hunted down there 3 years and scouted a ton of times for pig, but have never seen a lion in the unit. I have seen a couple of bobcats and a lot of coyotes.
