Heat Report post Posted December 4, 2014 Is anyone else getting pumped up for the January ritual a lot of us do every year? I'm starting to get pretty fired up. Need to be sure I have it all dialed in before go time! I don't have a tag yet, but have not been skunked on a leftover yet, so hope remains. I'm pretty sure I'll be going for the SW units hunt. If anyone has any pity for the most pathetic javelina hunter in the state (me), I'm open to hand outs, hand me downs, leftovers, and scraps and anything in between if you think you can help me get a javi! Good Luck to all in 2015!

khmer6 Report post Posted December 4, 2014 tick tock tick tock, starts on december 12th for general non permit only hunts! time is dragging..... I was pumped for the OTC season. I noticed it wasn't published in the 2015 documents at all. Only mentioning of it was the 2014 spring regs. Then a few weeks ago, I drove by a few of my spots and noticed they were closed. Dirt paths blocked by big boulders, gates locked, signs put up. Ugh. Was really hoping for a 2014 redemption pig.

Heat Report post Posted December 11, 2014 Picked up my tags for the January archery hunts yesterday. Got a leftover javelina tag for the units on the west side of the state and a deer tag. Non-traditional habitat is probably not what the doctor ordered for the worst javelina hunter in the State, but this is what I can probably get away with having a new baby in the house. If anyone wants to join forces I'm open to any suggestions. Nick
4Falls Report post Posted December 11, 2014 We may have to compare scores someday. I was under the impression I was the worst javelina Hunter in the state.
Heat Report post Posted December 11, 2014 I've posted some threads on my javelina misery in the forum here. You should look back a few years for my posts if you need a good laugh or two. This goes for anybody who might feel discouraged from a hunt. You can't possibly suck as bad as me!
