Zeke-BE Report post Posted November 29, 2014 We'll it's been 8 years since I last shot a bow and been bow hunting. We'll I'm Back!!! Bought a Hoyt Charger and man, bows are like computers the technology has come a long way. I went out shooting this morning for the first time in 8 years and was impresses with me or the bow. Hitting paper plates all morning at 60 yards and size of a fist at 30 yards. I'm heading down in January with a pig and deer tag in the 36's units and I shoot a 100 grain. But I'm out of the loop on archery equipment, what are some decent prices on decent Broadhead? Man I tell you it felt great shooting a bow again, smiles all morning
CouesPursuit Report post Posted November 29, 2014 Muzzy MX3s or other high end fixed blades out of a new rig like that should tune well and simply cannot fail. Mechanicals can come with big holes but also a chance of failure and much debate. Shot placement is everything and makes any quality broadhead do its job. mattys281 Report post Posted November 29, 2014 I dont shoot anything with aluminum in it. I like the g5 T3 expandable. 100% steel and they open up to 1-1/2" cutting diameter. They fly like field points and put a big hole through deer when they get there.
