capoeirajosh Report post Posted November 27, 2014 I might be crazy, but I just tried out my pronghorns yesterday and am having some serious ankle pain from them. Seems like the boot is digging into my ankle. Really bummed out about this. They are the 2013 model. Anyone else have issues like this? I really wanted to like these boots and after hearing the rave reviews about them, thought I would not have any issues. Looks like the 2014 model is designed different, so I am gonna go try those on today to see if I have the same problem.
PRDATR Report post Posted December 1, 2014 I've got a pair I bought in 2012 (I think), they are the leather ones without the rubber toe cap. I love them because they are light but wish they were a bit wider. They broke in in the first 100 yards but early this year the sole on the heal started coming apart. I put some Gorilla Glue on them last week but it isn't holding up. They have given me great support with no issues.
bigorange Report post Posted December 1, 2014 I noticed the same on mine the first time I wore them, but improved with break-in after a few miles on them. Nothing noticable now.
capoeirajosh Report post Posted December 1, 2014 It is also possible that I had them too tight. I tried this out when I got home and it seemed to help a whole lot. I have only put probably 2 miles on them also.
AZbowhntr Report post Posted December 2, 2014 I ordered some when they were on sale for $75 over Labor Day I think it was. I took them on a scouting trip planning on wearing them a little while and changing them but I didn't have any problems at all. I wore them for my entire hunt without any problems either. HUNTnTAT2 Report post Posted December 2, 2014 My danners do the same thing. Im on season 4 with em. They are either too tight or the toungue gets bunched up on the ankle. Should ease up when they break in
cramerhunts Report post Posted December 2, 2014 I've had a couple of pair that felt that way and the cure for me was to skip the one lace eye at the bridge of my foot until the boots broke in good. Might want to give it a try.
