Late Season Archery Elk Part II

Recommended Posts

Exactly one week after I killed my bull, by buddy Jed was able to connect on this outstanding late season archery bull.

Big Kudos to Jed and Jeremiah for all their help and making this a great hunt.

Jed made a great shot on this bull at 55 yards. We waited the customary 30-40 minutes and as it starting to get dark we began tracking. We followed the tracks and blood into the timber and only about 60 yards later we walked behind some deadfall and the bull was lying there only about 7-10 feet away with his head up. It about scared all of us to death since we were concentrating on following tracks and blood. Jed nocked another arrow and sent it on its way.

Congrats Jed! You guys are making this look easy. :)

These late hunts with a rifle are tough, I can't imagine doing it with a bow.
