It was horrible this weekend. It was tough driVing on the main road. Planned on hunting up there opening week but I don't think k you will be able to get a toy hauler back to a decent spot. There was snow Saturday morning.

If you care about your ride I would stay away from 68d for sure but if you are ok with driving half in the ditch most of the time and drive a beater like me it's not so bad but it is very sloppy there is not a window on my jeep that you can see through

I was in on 68 yesterday and it was not bad, someone had tore some good ruts in there days before but we didn't even spin the tires. Very very rocky though. Only does spotted for us. On the way out the road was nice cuz the sun was out for a few hours. Man the cattle are tearing the heck out of the hills up there.

there are no more deer in and around dugas and any of the roads discussed in this thread.

anyone wanting to chase deer should go to bloody basin or 7 springs.

thank you for your cooperation!

was out saturday with 6ANut, found 2 groups of does early watched em for a while no bucks.. left em alone and came back to check on em later and 6 does turned into 9 and then 13 still no bucks...... these deer were feeding maybe 40yds from a few cows and didn't give a rip. went to check on the other group and only glassed up 1 single doe... moved to get a better vantage and she gave the slip.

come on Christmas day!

I saw 46 deer between sat and sun. 6 bucks the biggest was a decent 4 point, he was with the does but we never saw him sniff or show alot of interest in a paticular doe. He was actually walking in front of 8 does and they followed him. A fork horn was following the herd but did not challenge the bigger buck. The other 4 bucks were with 4 does and showed minimal rut activity the biggest buck was following 1 paticular doe but never went up and sniffed her. She busted me at 21 yards. He was at 35 yards with no shot.

Just got back! I can say that the rut is still definitely going on! Yesterday, we watched a nice buck that was SUPER fired up. He was chasing other bucks away from does and chasing his does around. Almost every group of does we saw had a buck with them. Had a nice forkie at 63 yards this morning, but just didn't have a shot. Good luck!
