Question on Match Grade and Ballistic Tip (Accuracy)

Recommended Posts

I would not say this was a battle discussion. I think it was very civil. Just differing opinions on the subject.

Good luck on our hunt.

I love the Amax for deer. 2 deer last year 1 antelope this year. Devastating wound channel that left no doubt of the outcome with a shot in or close to the vitals. The deer were at 580 and 620 yards, the antelope was at 300. I would most likely choose another bullet for anything larger than a deer, but hard to beat the consistency and price of the amax for hunting or target.

Don't forget two bucks in 2009!! One at 442 and one at 501 with the amax.

Yeah, it was not a battle. I would not choose to go to battle against Lance on long range shooting/ hunting. He really seems to know his stuff, and has lots more experience than I do. It was merely a difference of opinions and that is what makes these forums great.

HuntHarder, I'll shoot or hunt with you anytime. It would be a blast. There is nothing wrong with a difference of opinions. It shows pros and cons on most subjects, and give a better all around view for a question being researched. I would rather hear both the positive and negative on a subject and decide for myself.
