Pine Donkey Report post Posted November 8, 2014 For several years I have been building bonus points and buying leftover tags in 30B. My son Garrett, and his KBS Hunting crew usually put me in a pretty good spot. Garrett spotted this buck about a month ago. He survived the first hunt, so Garrett began patterning him. He has watched him every morning this week. This morning we hiked in, in the dark. As it got light, the buck was right where he was supposed to be. One shot from the 300 win mag at 400 yards and the hunt was over at 6:50 in the morning. Garrett captured it all on video. What a stud buck, and to have your sons out there working hard and putting to use all the things you've taught them is icing on one heck of a sweet cake. Huge congrats.
