SpeedGoat Report post Posted November 9, 2014 The running joke is that the hunter has been residing under a Palo Verde tree out there for the last 4 months. He did it all himself, I've known him since we were born and he is an animal when it comes to hunting.

azpredator@work Report post Posted November 11, 2014 I was fortunate enough to see this rack last night and have to say it is an incredible beast of an animal. Unbelievably symmetrical for a non-typical of this caliber. The score is insane as well. Friends of the hunter told me he's a scouting machine and has been after this buck for quite awhile.

Swivelhead Report post Posted November 12, 2014 Does anybody know if this buck frequented agricultural areas or was a product of desert foraging? Either way it is an unbelievable buck. Assuming the buck made his living off desert plants and grew a rack that size would, in my mind, make it the most impressive mule deer buck I've ever seen/heard of. This buck is ...... astonishing. That the best word I can come up with. Again, congrats to the hunter. This deer has me mumbling to myself!
Coach Report post Posted November 12, 2014 That's one heck of a buck. Huge congrats to the hunter. It's the kind that you can hardly imagine exist. But if you're like me, anytime you drive through the desert you're just wondering what kind of bucks are out there a couple miles beyond the closest road. And all that sheep country you're looking at while driving from AZ to CA, you just know bucks like that are out there and wonder if someone is out there looking for them. To add on it was a DIY hunt - icing on the cake. Once again, kudos to the guy who killed this amazing buck.
lancetkenyon Report post Posted November 12, 2014 Had a buddy send me photos of this deer last night. He was fondling the rack like it was a passed out supermodel, and I don't blame him a bit. I am sure the photos do not do this buck justice, but holy COW the photos are amazing!

8OWHUNT247 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 This guy earned it for sure. Has been following him for a few years and knew exactly when he shed his velvet. I love to see big toads go to deserving and hard working hunters. "No Booners south of the ditch" huh??!!
