elkhutnaz Report post Posted November 1, 2014 So we drove over yesterday..set camp and scouted a little 40 plus deer and one small 4 by 3 with 14 doe 300 yards from camp..feeding on sage as we cooked dinner...last night 2" of rain..looks messy out but going to make the best of it this opener..will update 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

cohofishing Report post Posted November 2, 2014 My son had that youth hunt fifteen years ago. It is a tough hunt. I met with a fish and game officer and was told that most of the deer migrate from Colorado after the snowfall. Not many resident deer. Good luck. elkhutnaz Report post Posted November 5, 2014 finished up 2 for 2 both 4 by 4s...weather was bad first two days rain, hail, thunderstorms..and monday my buddy had to get up at 2 am and catch a flight to tucson for work bid..so I was solo and shot a small 4 by..he got back tuesday morning at 130 am and i got him up and out of the wall tent to hunt yesterday and was able to glass up a great 4 by..24" wide,, we had him at 700 yards and closed the gap to 500 and set up and he made the shot.
