GRMPS73 Report post Posted November 1, 2014 Has anyone out there heard of PROGRADE AMMUNITION or more importantly shot this brand of ammunition? Looking for info on accuracy, consistency from round to round, etc. A local store near me has a lot of this in stock and I was debating buying a box and seeing how it shot in my 300WinMag. Any information is appreciated. Thx.
5guyshunting Report post Posted November 1, 2014 Never heard of it . I have seen some off brands that are made in brazil. Are those rounds american made?
GRMPS73 Report post Posted November 1, 2014 Sorry I should have included this information in my post...yes, they are American made in Stevens Montana. They're website seems legit and in fact the box and website advertise that the rounds are HANDLOADED. The Sportsman's Warehouse kid said he'd only shot their pistol ammo and not the rifle stuff. They use Barnes TSX bullets but unknown what type brass/primers/powder/etc.
5guyshunting Report post Posted November 1, 2014 I would think if its made in the USofA its worth a try. Is the ammo spendy?
GRMPS73 Report post Posted November 1, 2014 $39.99/box of 20.
5guyshunting Report post Posted November 1, 2014 They certainly think its good at the price.
Benbrown Report post Posted November 1, 2014 I haven't used it myself but have heard good things about that ammo from a few of the Montana guys on another forum. If you shoot factory ammo, I would think that if would be worth the cost of a box to see how it performs in your rifle.
AverageJoe Report post Posted November 1, 2014 Lol they use Barnes bullets. Thats enough reason not to shoot it right there.
