oz31p Report post Posted October 24, 2014 I just Came from a 3 day backpack trip with a 3700. I think your 5200 would be perfect sized for a backpacking trip.

capoeirajosh Report post Posted October 24, 2014 Has anyone used the load sling mode of the Kuiu packs? I am assuming that this would be the preferred method of hauling meat?
Antmo23 Report post Posted October 25, 2014 Has anyone used the load sling mode of the Kuiu packs? I am assuming that this would be the preferred method of hauling meat? Not me personally, but my hunting partners have packed out a few elk with them and they love them! They did one trip with the Icon 1850, switched to the pack frames for one trip, then switched back to the Icon for the rest.

Not me personally, but my hunting partners have packed out a few elk with them and they love them! They did one trip with the Icon 1850, switched to the pack frames for one trip, then switched back to the Icon for the rest. They seem pretty strong. I was watching a video on Jason having someone run then over every which way with a Toyota Tundra.
Antmo23 Report post Posted October 25, 2014 And they threw it down a mountain, and loaded it up with like 150lbs, and stood on it, lol. The frames are strong, the packs are comfy, light, and well thought out. It's a winner.

capoeirajosh Report post Posted October 31, 2014 Well, I ended up pulling the trigger on an icon pro 5200! Got it in the mail a few days ago. This pack looks awesome. Can't wait to get it out in the field this weekend. As always, thanks for all of the advice. ; )

capoeirajosh Report post Posted November 12, 2014 Post some pics and your review. I hve been looking at that or the 7200 for a while now. This pack has been nothing but awesome in the short time I have had it. Haven't gotten a whole lot of time out in the field with it yet. Took it out on a day scouting trip through some rugged hiking. It holds weight so much better than my eberlestock did. Not once did I have to stop because of sore shoulders or anything else having to do with the pack. While hiking around, I found myself alot more balanced as well. It was like I wasn't wearing a pack. Extremely happy with my purchase so far. Hoping to do a backpack hunt with it this coming archery season. Hopefully, I will be coming out heavy and will have more of a review.
