joelpresmyk8 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 Does anyone by chance know exactly what stock is on the remington 700 5r rifle when you buy it. I know it's a hs stock. But does anyone know the exact model?
lancetkenyon Report post Posted October 22, 2014 Depends on the model 700. 5r is a barrel designation, not a model #. I think the stocks are Bell & Carlson though, not HS Precision. 700 LR 700 XCR Tactical LR 700 XCR Compact Tactical 700 Mountain 700 Sendero 700 Target Tactical http://www.remington.com/product-families/firearms/centerfire-families/bolt-action-model-700.aspx
willhunt4coues Report post Posted October 22, 2014 Some of the older guns had the HS Precision stock and some of the newer also. Bell & Carlson is making stocks for Remington now. If you know your exact model that would help if not call Remington.
AverageJoe Report post Posted October 22, 2014 B&c used to make stocks for the sendero and are now making them for the 700 long range. HS Precision makes stocks for the new sendero, 700p and 5R Milspec. Also 5r IS a model type for the remington 700 5R Milspec rifle.
