Couple Rams @ Canyon Lake

Recommended Posts

Had the privilege of flying over the desert lakes today via helicopter for work.

Saw these 2 rams, guy on the left looks nice and his buddy on the right looks a little busted up, he doesn't look big enough to need brooming but I could be wrong, not much of a sheep expert.

Enjoy.

I am so jealous of your ride. I have always wanted to do that!

That's a cool job you have! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Do you inspect the power lines in a Huey helicopter? We got buzzed by one a couple of years ago while my wife and I were floating in the water by Stuart Mtn dam on Apache Lake by our jet skis.

Yeah but you get to work in the field! I know, I am very lucky.

Wasn't able to capture a photo, but also saw a group of nice mule bucks in one of the lake bottom's filled with 4 foot high cocklebur, that was a first. There was a big 4x that was plowing through and after 50 yards his antlers were filled with green vegetation dragging longer than his body!

Thanks! I do have a great job although the majority of the time I'm trapped in the office. I don't fly very often myself, I model/map various characteristics of the reservoirs on the computer and fly to "ground-truth" them, get out in the air about twice a year.
