naturegirl Report post Posted October 14, 2014 I was mowing some weeds in the yard Sunday and realized I was killing caterpillars in the process so I decided to leave the weeds for now. I grabbed my daughter and told her to start looking for caterpillars in the weeds. She created her own caterpillar house and had a blast catching 6 of them. She was afraid of them at first, but got the hang of it quickly. Now we get to feed them and see what happens. They sure do eat a lot! 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

tjhunt2 Report post Posted October 14, 2014 Any old excuse not to cut the weeds. lol Doesn't take much to entertain kids. When my wife was doing daycare I had to get the worms out of the frig so the kids could see them. Before you know it they were handling the worms and showing the parents.
