azhoundcrazy Report post Posted October 14, 2014 Born and raised in az. I have caught 9 bears only hunting the weekend and have only killed two bears it off that 9. Both bears weighed over 225# and I know no one else would have walked away from that bear in a tree.

khmer6 Report post Posted October 27, 2014 serious bears! congrats. i'm kind of confused about "catching a bear" are we just using terminology for the tree huggers, or is there something more to "catching a bear" versus harvesting a bear
azhoundcrazy Report post Posted October 27, 2014 Just what we say when we put them up a tree.

mattys281 Report post Posted October 28, 2014 Ive heard chasing hounds can be quite an exciting and experience. I know it probably varies but how far do they typically go before heading up a tree?
azhoundcrazy Report post Posted October 28, 2014 It's a blast can be very addicting. Just depends really like this year the farthest they have gone was a half a mile. The farthest we have walked into a tree had only been 550 yards but that all can change
