briant_az Report post Posted October 9, 2014 Great caliber! I had a custom 280 AI built last year and its an absolute beast. Never thought I could shoot a gun this accurately! I have been shooting a .243AI for the last several years and it has been really good to me, but I wanted something with a little more punch. First loads with 162 Amax look pretty promising. I used the original Ackley specs when I cut the chamber so Nosler brass is to short for my gun. I have to fire form from factory .280 brass. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
