STOMP442 Report post Posted October 7, 2014 168gr or heavier. I really like the 168gr berger H4831, H1000, Retumbo and Ramshot magnum should all give you good results.
Kingzero Report post Posted October 8, 2014 Any idea on what bullet you want to use? I shoot 150gr Barnes TTSX over 68gr of Retumbo in my Tikka. Those TTSX's will put the hurt on an animal.
pwrguy Report post Posted October 8, 2014 What Stomp said. Also try Hornady
grunt Report post Posted October 8, 2014 Just made a load for friends rifle. 168 berger classic hunter and h1000. Excellent velocity/spread. Work up to max load safely because this rifle liked it maxed out. Typical with that powder or retumbo. He had enough room to fit vlds in the magazine but classic hunters aren't so finicky and the bc is darn good. Good luck
