Coues 'n' Sheep Report post Posted March 7, 2007 Hey Coues and Sheep, Maybe you need to keep looking in the classified adds for a new range finder Yours might be off by 50% PSE Bro I checked the paper work...... it said accurate to 1/2 yard....... not 1/2 the distance.... ..... Hmmm...... wonder if that still applies after it gets bounced off the rocks a few times.

Hey Coues n sheep just switch to a PSE bow and you won't have to bounce your arrow off rocks or the ground to make that shot.Matter fact I got a old one laying around, probably a 1970's model(you can borrow it), I'm sure it's will still outperform a matthew's. Hey, thanks.... ...... I know you boys like them thar "Piece of $h*t Equipment" bows...... but I'll have to pass...... I'd rather shoot a crossbow! Of course they may be "ok" for chasin' Carp!! LMAO!!!
GameHauler Report post Posted March 7, 2007 With a cross bow you might be able to group 3" at 100 yards
azhuntnut Report post Posted March 8, 2007 I have not seen it done, but have been told that Randy Ulmer can shoot paper plates at 100 yards with a broadhead. I am sure if anybody shoots long enough and far enough, it could be done. Just last year I started to stretch my distance out to seventy yards and was doing alright, but wouldn't take a shot like that until I was perfect. matthewp45 Report post Posted March 13, 2007 I ended up buying the drenalin. I shot a bunch of bows and that one fit me the best. I absolutely love it. It is fast, quiet, light and forgiving. It works really well for me. Thanks again for all of the info. It really worked out well.
azcouesandelk Report post Posted March 13, 2007 Congrats on the purchase. Looks like a good bow. What kind of rest and sight are you going to put on it?

mattys281 Report post Posted March 13, 2007 Dead nuts sightes and a trophy taker drop away. That's a great bow. I heard people complaining about the handshock compared to the switchback, but I didn't notice it. Even if there was a slight buzz, it is far offset by the fact that it only weighs 3.8 lbs! Good shooting bows are nothing new for Matthews, but one in that weight class sure is.

AZcoues_addict Report post Posted March 14, 2007 I just couldn't resist to comment about the 100 yard, 3 inch group. All of the nonbelievers won't believe it till they see it, because they can't come anywhere near it and they'll just criticize in the meantime. With that said I DO believe it because I've done it myself, and more than once or twice, and yes AT LEAST 3 arrows constitutes a group. I shoot groups at 70 yards equivalent or better than most people's 30 yard groups! Granted, once I did want to be in the Olympics for archery, but those days have passed and hunting is my passion now. If you don't believe it oh well, keep practicing! It takes more dedication and practice than 99% of the people out there are willing to put in (and maybe a bit of natural born skill, which all of us are not even capable of, but that's another discussion)! Check out my buck I shot this past January at 70 yards and made a near perfect shot, you can see the hole, no accident. I don't usually shoot over 70 yards because of all the other factors since its not a stationary target and hunting ethics is involved, although I know I easily can. Yes it is a bit of bragging, but it is possible. All of this with a HOYT, no Mathews here! http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...amp;#entry54721
