Last year we hunted off freeman road on the north side of black mountain. Didn't see any pigs but had a lot of sign. It was cold the weekend we were able to hunt. Supposed to be a little hotter this time around. Should i look for a new area or just stick to my plan on the shady side of the mountain. I was thinking about taking a trip from the south side and work up the washes into the mountain also to try to get these kids a shot at something.

I always ran into lots of pigs down by the San Pedro, and the surrounding drainages, taking one of those little roads on the east side of Black Mountain towards the San Pedro.

I've been hunting quail by the black mountain for over a decade. I have not once seen a pig. Seen tracks and smelled them before. This is mainly on the north side. I never remember the name of the areas really well but on the east side of black mountain you will see a radio tower. Just east of that I got into some heavy quail and found some abandon mines with hundreds of piggy tracks. I kept a mental note of that area and when I left and open the gate I realize there is no trespassing sign on the ground which would make since why the quail were so easy. The next year I went back there were brand new signs and very clear postings of no trespassing. Maybe Hoover around the ranch property and maybe you will find one around there. I believe this is the same direction snapshot is talking about.
