Bear claw necklaces.

Recommended Posts

Well after harvesting my first bear this year, I wasn't sure on what to do with the the claws. So I decided to search the internet for cool things to make out of bear claws, but unfortunately didn't find to many ideas. After several hours of researching things, I took a few different ideas and this is what I came up with. I still have a few claws left, so if you have any cool ways to display bear claws, please share them!

I have a couple of bear claws - unfortunately not from a bear I tagged-that I want to mount one on top of a turkey call striker. I'll post when I get'r'done.

That's my plans with the claws of the first bear I kill. Make a necklace for me, my daughter, my mom, and my sister, my boyfriend and my uncle. Gonna leave room to add an ivory from my first elk on me and my daughters and add little charms along the way. Someday hopefully she can do the same for her family :) those are very cool that you made. Great way to preserve the memories.

Thanks guys! They were fun and easy to make, even though I know they aren't historically correct as OneShot stated. I personally just didn't care for the Native American style necklaces I found on the internet. I was looking for a more modern look. That's a pretty sweet moose tooth pendant you made Oneshot!
