lancetkenyon Report post Posted September 21, 2014 Man, the amount of LEO bashing is amazing. How about we focus on the good things the LEOs do for us daily instead of the few bad apples? Sure, this might not be the popular thing to do, but it is my opinion. And to be clear, I am not an LEO. youre right they should be able to run a muck and never have their actions questioned. Nope. But how about we get the facts before bashing the LEOs? Seems like it will be a justified shooting to me after some more information is/was posted. Time will tell. Like saying hunters are all bad people, just because a few do unethical things to give us all a bad reputation.
Explorer Report post Posted September 21, 2014 A good friend of mine was hunting in his tree stand behind a tank in 6a(bull tag) when a group of drunks pulled up and started unloading AK's and other high powered rifles into the dam he was behind. He had to bail out of his stand and call LE. LE showed up and then told my friend that the men were to drunk to drive and they had children so they could not tell them to leave. After they left the drunk idiots harassed my friends camp firing off rounds around it at night. He packed camp and left. Returned mid week and the men returned Friday and harassed him again.they claimed to be hunters but they didn't get drawn so they didn't care.
Matt Meyer Report post Posted September 21, 2014 Explorer....Sorry to hear about your friend's experience. We have to really be careful out there. You never really know who is around. I really do hope they weren't hunters. I think they were just what your post says; drunks with AK'S, which is scary in it's self I think the LEO's shooting is justifiable and he actually did us a favor by getting one more dirt bag out of the woods.

No wonder the youth of today have no respect with parental guidance and tutelage like that.

520HUNT Report post Posted September 21, 2014 Hopefully the guy who got shot was the same hunter who kept wounding bulls during archery season...
Matt Meyer Report post Posted September 21, 2014 I understand going to the city and having to worry about your safety but the woods? The woods are my church. That's the problem......Most dirt bags don't respect church. If they did, maybe they wouldn't be dirt bags
